About Ron Lutz
Class Instructor/ Chi Gong & Tai Chi Instructor
Ron Lutz is a licensed and board-certified psychologist with decades of experience supporting emotional health, personal growth, and holistic well-being. Throughout his career, he has combined clinical expertise with a deep passion for movement, mindfulness, and the healing arts, creating an integrative approach that recognizes the powerful connection between physical, emotional, and energetic health.
Ron served as a Senior Psychologist at Texas A&M University for more than twenty years, where he trained psychology interns and post-doctoral clinicians. He later served as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at California State University, Sacramento before retiring from higher education leadership.
His interest in martial arts and internal wellness practices began early in life and has included the study of Judo, Karate, Aikido, Tai Chi, and Qigong. Through years of personal practice and study, Ron developed a strong belief that true healing must address the mind, body, and energy system as an integrated whole.
Ron has studied with a number of respected teachers in the healing and internal arts, including training in Wisdom Healing Qigong with Ming Tong Gu. For the past decade, he has focused deeply on Internal Tai Chi under the guidance of Sigmund Richard Clear and has received certification to teach.
Drawing from his extensive background in psychology, martial arts, Tai Chi, and Qigong, Ron creates a calm, grounded, and supportive environment where students can cultivate balance, reduce stress, improve awareness, and reconnect with their overall well-being through mindful movement and energy practices.
